Camp Love A Pet

Children ages 10-15 learn to train, groom, and treat companion animals humanely. Camp includes several field trips and demonstrations by dog groups. Cost is $250.

2nd Tuesday Club

Nello's, 3055 Bechelli Lane, is hosting the 2nd Tuesday Club in August. Eat dinner at Nello's on August 10 and a portion of the night's proceeds go directly to Haven Humane Society.

Dog Training with Judy Brown

Judy holds three training classes on Mondays -- Puppy Class, Beginning Obedience, and Advanced Obedience.

Puppy Class is 6 weeks long and includes walking on a leash, off-leash, leave it, wait, sit, down, as well as addressing any individual problems. Puppy class is $80.

Beginning Obedience is nine weeks long. Judy has a 10:00 a.m. session and a 7:30 p.m. session in the grass compound. This class teaches heel, sit, down, stand for examination, stay in all positions, come, stay at a sit for 1 minute and at a down for 3 minutes, as well as addressing any individual problems. $95

Advanced Obedience is a nine week course at 11:00 a.m. in the grass compound. The course includes all beginning exercises done off leash and teaches retrieving and jumping, and stay off leash at a distance of 40 feet. $95

Poker Run

The Poker Run starts at Win-River Casino with check in and breakfast from 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. It ends at Lakeshore Inn with games and events beginning at 2:30 and dinner and raffle at 5:30 p.m.

2nd Tuesday Club

The Post Office Saloon is hosting the 2nd Tuesday Club Dinner on September 14. Eat dinner at the Post Office Saloon in the Downtown Mall and a portion of the night's proceeds go to Haven's animals.

Jail and Bail

Gunner the Clydesdale needs you to bail him out of his jailhouse corral during the annual Jail N Bail event at the Mt. Shasta Mall next to Outback Steakhouse Sept. 18, 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. and help the animals at Haven Humane Society during this fundraiser & adoption outreach. Several other animal organizations, dog trainers and special animal guests will be on hand. Microchipping $10 special.

October 2, 2010 - 6:00 p.m.

Bark & Wine

Enjoy wine tasting from vintners ranging from Southern Oregon to our own local wineries, paired with olive tasting, cheeses, and hors d’ouvres. Compete for some fabulous items in the live auction and enter the drawing for a chance to win a rider lawn mower.

Tickets to the event are $35 each. Raffle tickets for the drawing are $5 each and may be purchased in advance at Haven Humane Society.

A special VIP package is available and includes 2 tickets to the Bark & Wine, special VIP seating, an entry into the drawing, a guest room at the Red Lion Hotel, a special gift bag, and a complimentary breakfast. Call 241-5262 for information.
