Fun N Fancy Dog Training with Judy Brown
Judy holds three traditional training classes on Mondays -- Puppy Class, Beginning Obedience, and Advanced Obedience.
Puppy Class is 6 weeks long at 6:00 PM and includes walking on a leash, off, leave it, wait, sit, down, as well as addressing any individual problems. Puppy class is $80.
Beginning Obedience is nine weeks long at 7:00 p.m. in the grass compound. This class teaches heel, sit, down, stand for examination, come, stay at a sit for 1 minute and at a down for 3 minutes, as well as addressing any individual problems. $95
Advanced Obedience is a nine week course in the grass compound. The course includes all beginning exercises done off leash and starts teaching retrieving and jumping, and stay off leash at a distance of 40 feet. $95. Class time will be announced if there is enough interest.

Dog-a-Thon
Grab your best friend and walk in the third annual Dog-A-Thon Festival at Haven Humane Society. There will be contests, prizes, animal rescue groups, vendors with merchandise, demonstrations, and displays. A $20 registration fee includes an event t-shirt and lunch. Family registration is $35 for up to four people. Vendor registration for a booth is $40. There will also be commemorative dog bandanas for sale. Preregistration is encouraged.

Camp Love A Pet
Children ages 10-15 learn to train, groom, and treat companion animals humanely. Camp includes several field trips and demonstrations by dog groups. Cost is $250.

Bark & Wine
Enjoy wine tasting, paired with breads, cheese, and hors d’ouvres in the beautiful banquet room of the Red Lion Hotel. Compete for some fabulous items in the live and silent auctions. Tickets to the event are $35 each. Raffle tickets will be available for a grand prize drawing. Need not be present to win.

Howl-O-Ween
Trick or Treat with your K9 pal at Shasta Center on Churn Creek Road in front of Kuebler's Furniture. Merchants at Shasta Center will be handing out treats to kids as they visit each store for safe trick-or-treating. There will be pet adoptions, $15 microchipping, and a clicker training demo. Enter your dog in the kissing, tail wagging, or costume contests; judging begins at 1:00. Bring a bag of pet food to donate to a needy pet.
