About Us

Since 1952, Haven Humane Society has been caring for lost, homeless and abused animals in the Redding area. Our founders created a charitable non-profit organization that is privately funded by people who believe all our four-legged friends deserve love and respect. We are very proud to have earned a reputation for providing the gold standard in quality animal care throughout Shasta County and beyond. But the biggest reward comes from carrying out our founders' purpose; giving animals a safe haven and helping them transition to happy lives in loving homes.

Haven Humane Society supports the community by promoting humane treatment of animals through sheltering, spay/neuter, adoption, community education, outreach, rescue and animal regulations.  Our vision is of a community of responsible pet owners working together for a North State with no more homeless pets.

Providing pet adoptions, low cost veterinary care including spay/neuter, and dog licensing for the City of Redding and Shasta County.
